Fr. Peter Schavitz, C.S.s.R.                                                                        

Hometown: Chicago,                                                                                                              

Professed as a Redemptorist: 1970                                                                                                 

Ordained to the Priesthood: 1976                                                                                                    

Fr. Peter has wide and varied apostolic experiences. His background includes youth, adult, couple, divorced, and nuns’ retreats, seminary professor, vocation ministry, parish ministry, and involvement in several radio and video projects. Fr. Pete has been giving parish missions since 1985 and joined the Mission Team at St. Alphonsus Parish in Chicago in 1992. As a native Chicagoan his greatest weakness is the fact that he is a die-hard Cub, Bear, Bull, and Blackhawk fan. Pray that he may recover from this infirmity!
