"There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same spirit gives them. There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord is served. There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives ability to everyone for their particular service. The Spirit's presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all." (1 Cor. 12:4-7)

The gifts, the talents and the blessings that God gives us are meant to be used, displayed and shared with others. We share them in a variety of ways in our families, our neighbourhoods, our circle of friends and acquaintances and our wider community. We can share them also in our parish community by becoming involved and putting our talents at the service of others in our faith family. This, quite simply, is the meaning of Stewardship.
I encourage you to give some prayerful thought to joining fellow parishioners in serving the parish-at-large (for example, on Parish Pastoral Council) or a particular segment of it. The rewards of being a Good Steward of our gifts are rich indeed.
